India Station : Reviews : Hum Saath Saath Hain
Movie : Hum
Saath Saath Hain
Cast : Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor,
Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre,
Tabu, Mohnish Behl
Director : Sooraj Barjatya
Music : Raam Lakshman
This is the third movie from Sooraj Barjatya after huge successes of Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. The entire movie revolve around a happy joint family.
The movie opens with the all
family members getting together to celebrate Ramkishen (Alok Nath)
and Mamta's (Reema Lagoo) silver wedding anniversary. Ramkishan
has four lovely grown up kids who share very close bonds with
each other and with their parents. Eldest son (Mohnish Behl)
marries Sadhana (Tabu) and the marriage provides another
opportunity for much singing and fanfare. Prem (Salman Khan) gets
engaged to Preeti (Sonali Bendre) and the third and youngest,
Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) falls in love with Sapna (Karisma Kapoor)
If we go by the reaction of the audience, the film will
definitely do well! Though colourful and chockfull of songs,
beautiful, happy people and family values, the film lacks the
appeal of Hum Aapke Hain Koun. If you did not like Hum
Aapke .. then it is most like that you will not like Hum
Saath Saath Hain.
Mohnish Behl, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, and Tabu all have given good performances. Sonali looks cute in her limited role.
